Well, Hot Rod's 2 week check up was today and he passed with flying colors!
We saw another surgeon as our surgeon told us he would be on vacation and she said that he was perfect as far as things feeling like they should be and the incision is healed up nicely! Everything is progressing right along as scheduled! Yay!
I asked about physical therapy for Hot Rod and she said that we could do some range of motion type of exercise and hot and cold therapy if we wanted to. I had asked about having him our hot tub (he loves it
) for some exercise, therapy and she said that she would defer that to our surgeon. Our surgeon wants Hot Rod to be limited in his movement for the time of his recuperation. He still is not using his leg fully, just puts it down and may take a couple of steps at a time as the surgeon told us might happen.
He has stood on his hinds
(big no, no) to try and jump up on me while I am kneeling down with him during a potty break in the garage so he can't be that far from using his leg more.
So it's all good! He's on his way! Just 4 more weeks.
Oh and the surgeon said that he could have a bath as of today, YES! My little stinker needs one!
