For me I was very excited over his initial statement of his wanting to adopt so it was kind of a let down.

So many people follow suit with who they admire. Such as when Paris Hilton had her little dog. So many wanted then to buy a small purse puppy. I was hoping that if the president did adopt then maybe it would set a trend and maybe take away some of the misconceptions about rescue. This really was all I was saying.

I in no way knock a reputable breeder or someone that buys from a reputable breeder. These are choices that have to be individually made for what that family feels their needs are. And, believe me I don't think I'm better then anyone because I have rescues. I just got the feeling that the OP I answered thought maybe I had a double standard in that I bought my dogs but tell others to rescue. I'm not against buying from a breeder. I myself on a few occassions have even inquired about pups with thoughts of buying, but in the end my heart took me right back to rescue.

I like you Dee and I'm in no way one of those people that think you are a horrible person for breeding.

Well said. This is how I feel too.
