hi everyone! so i was just wondering, when you all brought home your new puppies how often did they sleep? Toby sleeps a lot, he will take a nap, get up and go outside, maybe play for a half hour, eat sometimes and then back to sleep!! thats normal right? i keep reminding myself that he is a baby, and baby humans sleep a ton when they are newborn.
also, last night he slept a lot from about 5:30 on... then it seemed like he was up crying a lot last night. should i try to keep him awake in the evenings or just let him sleep? i'm sure he needs it... but i need sleep at night too haha
anybody crate train? i put him in his crate during the day when he falls asleep and he usually whines a few minutes, then goes for his nap. but there were points last night that i thought he hadn't slept all night b/c he was crying so much. i want him to LIKE his crate lol. I did get up with him every two hours to go potty but i'm wondering how long before he is used to the crate at night? I know he misses his momma and is used to sleeping with his siblings, but i was just wondering how long it took other peoples babies to get used to the crate at night.
I would just sleep with him in bed, but i'm scared of smushing him...
