I would ask specifically for them to do an xray to look at the trachea, just to be sure. Only takes a minute and then you will know. I would want to know for sure that the trachea was not partially collapsed and that there was not something obstructing the trachea. They can find the darnedest things to swallow!

I heard kennel cough just Monday at the vet's office. The attendant at the desk was very responsive and whisked the dog to a room in the back so it would not contact any of our dogs in the waiting room. I think Kennel cough is a more barking type of cough, if that is descriptive to anyone but me.

Hope it is one of the easily fixed conditions that others mentioned. Better to have a little antibiotic and be over it! You were smart to take the video. You can still have something to show the vet in case your little one does not repeat hte sound while at the vets. Please let us know what the vet says. Wishing her the best!
