I've had June for almost a week now and she used the pee pads great when she was in her pen, but then she just stopped using it and waited for us to let her out. Then she runs and does it on the floor.
So... she took a nap yesterday afternoon and hadn't gone in about three hours, so when she woke up, I said that she has to potty before she can play. I put her on the pee pads on the balcony (not the one she normally uses) and made her stay there until she did her business. It was trying for a while, but after about half an hour (yes, I sat there for half an hour keeping her on the pad) she did her stuff. We rewarded with a nice treat.
Last night, my sister took her to the pad before going to bed and she went right away. I took her this morning, but she was still sleepy, so she fell asleep on the pad. I just put her back in her pen.
So, our new rule in the house is: She has to do her stuff before she is allowed to play and since she loves playing with Cash, it is working.
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to tell you what is working for us.
