I watched your video and it reminded me of the illness Maddie and Libby recently had. Sometimes it seemed more like choking. They were also running high fevers. The vet thought it sounded like kennel cough, though they had been nowhere where they would have picked it up. They each got 14 days of Clavamox, twice a day and they slowly improved and I think by the time they were on their last doses of meds, they had for the most part, quit the coughing, honking...whatever it was.
I also remember a couple of years ago that Maddie started honking. It was a much more forceful honking and she turned out to have tonsillitis. The vet said she was doing the honking trying to clear her throat, which was swollen and infected. I think she was on clavamox that time too and recovered quickly.
