I'm curious about the risk of pancreatitis. Don't many people here give their dogs Kongs with peanut butter? Peanut butter is very high fat. When people feed raw, do they leave skin on the birds?
I would think that all the food gets mixed together in the stomach. A dog treat may be 13% fat, but how is that different from giving a little bit of ham with a good amount of rice?
Also, what constitutes a "fatty" food? 30% fat? 70%? What about quantity? A tiny bit of olive oil is pure fat. Is that worse than a bunch of dog treats that have the same total amount of fat as the olive oil?
