I have three cats, and just got my yorkie baby almost 2 weeks ago. I feel so bad for the cats, every time the come into the room Frankie takes off after them, most of the time the just run away, and sometimes swat at him and hiss, he just thinks they are playing with him so he keeps on them until they finally run back downstairs. I try to tell him no but most of the time it happens before I even realize a cat has come into the room. It's gotten to where the cats are afraid to even come upstairs and when they do they will just creep around the kitchen looking for Frankie and wont come around unless he's asleep. Then they will sniff him a little and go on their way.

I'm wondering if this is how it will always be or if I just need to give it more time. Any advice on how to make the new family member more welcomed by my kitties and the kitties not so scared, would be great!!
