We are experimenting with Wellness puppy kibble, but largely I prepare his food. Favorite veggies include cooked carrots, green beans, and brussels sprouts. Favorite meats include lamb, beef, and chicken (which has been cooked whole and then removed from the bone - believe it or not he won't eat a boneless chicken breast, the consistency is too dry, I've tried several times). He loves no-fat, plain greek yogurt, strawberries and oranges.
With regard to rawhides and chews - I do not give him any of these, including Nylabones. I found that they caused him to "choke or gag" - it sounded like reverse sneezing. I can only imagine the little parts were getting stuck. The only chews he gets are dried sweet potato chews and yogurt drops - both of which he loves, and are least somewhat nutritious. The other "human treat" I will give is Cherrios - he loves those things.
Good luck - I would definitely suggest experimenting with his food to get rid of the tummy-aches!
