I was considering trying the leash thing while in bed. That's an idea.
I think I'm going to go out and buy him a crate though as well. We did the crate thing for the first month that I had him but he never really liked it at all - did a lot of whining and crying. So I'll just have to re-crate train him, I guess
The crate I have now is too small (he grew up to 13 pounds, may have a little more growing to do) so I'll have to buy a new one. I think I may buy a bigger dog one and put a nice big bed in it for him and give him a little more room. I dunno, we'll see.
And yep, middle of the night potty breaks will now be on a leash, lol. He does so well during the day with going and coming back in.
He was just being a little brat! :P
