I agree with all the posters saying use a crate. I wish I continued using a crate cuz Mahina will go crazy with one of my cats. She doesn't like her cuz the cat hisses... so she's learned to chase and bark it.
She'll even wake up and bark like crazy in the middle of the night.
Oh and when it comes to potty breaks, use a leash. I use a leash with my girl and she knows it's potty time and when she's finished I let her off and she'll play. Unless it's night time of course.
