We got Oscar 4 months before our first son was born and he has been faboulous ever since, they are the best of friends. There was some slight jealousy when we first brought our son home almost 15 months ago, but we made sure to give Oscar plenty of attention and it's been a non-issue.
We've also been very dilligent in teaching our son how to be gentle with Oscar. He now knows what "do nice" means and has learned to not to pull on his tail, ears, or legs. It helps that Oscar is on the larger side (11 lbs) and can handle alot more that some of his smaller counterparts.
