Default Yorkie first; baby second....

Hi

As many of you know, I am starting to look for another Yorkie after losing Millie. Myself and my hubby will probably be thinking of starting a family in the next 5 years or so, and I am just wondering who has been in this situation of introducing a new baby into the house.

I am not concerned about any potential kids harming the dog, or vice versa. They will be well supervised, and there will be plenty of time for the dog. I am sure lots of people here have kids and Yorkies.

I am just wondering how "put out" the Yorkie will be, and will it depend on how long we have it before we have kids?

I am sure it would probably be easier to have kids first and introduce the Yorkie so that it doesnt know life any other way, but thats not in our plans at the minute. A furbaby is all I want at the minute.

Just looking general opinions and experiences on this.
