That WAS very nice..............and unfortunately uncommon.
Every once-in-a-while, I will see people in public when I have Silvia with me and they will ask if they or their child may pet her, which I normally always say yes. Once I did have a lady tell me thank you after her two-year-old "petted" Silvia by banging her on the head a couple of times. I think they lady saw the fear in my eyes, and said "thank you" almost as if saying "I'm sorry."
