He is really good about just laying there with me. I think it boosted his spirits being able to be "out" with us.
But OMG! Maggie scared the beegeebers out of us though!! All of a sudden she ran over to daddy, who was sitting on the floor watching tv, screaming at the top of her lungs!! She wouldn't stop screaming. I ran over to where she had been to see if she may have swallowed the bully she'd been gnawing on. I didn't see it and thought the worst! I tried to compress her chest and she screamed even louder! I was just about ready to call the emergency clinic when she stopped. She kinda coughed up and started to breath normally. Her heart was still pounding like crazy.
She was licking her lips the whole time leading me to believe that something was stuck in her throat. She quieted down and of course just wanted to be held. She was fine after that and I did, in fact, find the bully she'd been chewing. I took it away asap. Took her out to potty and she did. I don't know if it was the bully or maybe her needed to potty? when she came back in she immediately stole Hot Rod's bully. She's been fine ever since so I have no idea what it was. I'm just glad that she is okay because the emergency clinic is a good 20-25 minutes away! that was rally scary to go thru. She's been back to her normal self today. |
I very much believe Maggie May just wanted the same amount of attention Hot Rod is getting

I am so glad she's ok, trust me, I know how scary that it! Maybe she bit her tongue or lip?
So Ranger is on schedule with the rest of them- 5 days post-op and he threw up this morning. I think the meds are getting to him. I called my vet about stopping the antibiotics (he only has one day left) but he said to stick it out and finish the course. I will be giving him some probiotics later on today, and again tonight. I ALWAYS give probios during antibiotics but I think due to the madness of all this I completely spaced it. Go figure eh?
I am so glad Hot Rod is doing well. We should be getting Ranger's new harness from Cindy very soon so he can spend more time out of the crate. Seven weeks to go......
