I would call animal control and ask them for help. See if they have a live trap that they will lend to you. Try to catch it and take it in to them.
We also live in a neighborhood and county that does not permit animals to be outside unless they are under the control of their owners. (In otherwords, no loose animals wondering around.) There are TONS of cats left to roam loose on our street. (Most of them on the other end, thankfully. When it gets bad enough and they start frequenting my yard, I get out the trap. After the owners have to make a few trips to the shelter to pick their cats up and pay the boarding fee, they get the point and usually keep them up for a while. |
