Anyway .... since she is at the age when a heat can come any time, I hate to tell you but you really should not leave them together when no one is there to watch them. I know that is very inconvenient when you work, and they probably already love being together. But, heats (especially first heats) are not always that noticeable. Sometimes they are so clean, you never see any blood. You might miss the start of heat and then a tie could happen while you were at work. So, you might want to crate or at least secure in different rooms. I know, probably not what you want to hear. But better safe than sorry. Course there is another solution, you could spay or neuter one or both.

BTW what breed is Thom?
I only work 2 days a week, thank goodness! But on my work days, i will be kenneling them in separate rooms, and when i cant devote 100% attention to them! That was one heck of a scare for sure!!

Thom is a Biewer. We have no plans on breeding them together, so we will stick with this until we find out when she goes into heat, and then my father will be watching Thom for a bit until it passes! Im waiting on fixing them for now, we may eventually breed them to others in their breed... But they still have much growing to so and shows to attend first!
