Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk, don't get me wrong, I loved mixed breeds and most of the dogs, I had before have been mixed breeds, I'm just against breeding for them. The reason people breed purebreds, is that they are better able to predict what the adult dogs will look like and how he/she will behave. When you mix a breed, you don't know what you're going to get, and can't predict anything. Because of this, many people are dissatisfied with the adult dog, and pounds and rescues are loaded with mixed breeds, that are adorable, but just not what someone had in mind. You can get puppies and adults, dogs over 1 year old are often housebroken, and you will know what they will look like as an adult, so there is no gamble. If looks and behavior are important to you please consider a rescue or shelter. Remember when a breeder is mixing, they are often mixing dogs that don't meet the standard very will, so they may be a very poor examples of each breed, and again, it's a crap shoot on what the results will be. Please make sure if you support a breeder such as this, you will be happy no matter how the dog turns out.

Concerning buyer over the internet, many people stopped supporting pet stores who sold puppies because most of them came from puppy mills, the millers had to turn elsewhere and now sell from the internet. You cannot easily distinguish a puppy miller from a good breeder, although good breeders have websites, they don't sell over the site, they want to have a connection with you, and interview you, to make sure you can provide a good home. To ensure you are not supporting a miller, you need to see for yourself how the dogs are being raised. If you are not familiar with puppy mills I urge you to do a google and see for yourself how millions of dogs are living in torture. Buying a dog should not be an impulse decision, you will have this member of the family for around 15 years if you're lucky, and you want a pet that meshes with you family and lifestyle. Good luck in your search!
