You are going to get a whole bunch of different opinions on this one. When I starated out looking I thought I wanted a girl and I wound up with a boy...go figure. I think the best thing is to go look and meet some puppies or dogs and see who you bond with. This weeks Dog Whisperer had a great episode and part of it was how to pick the right dog for you. It was called a member of the family you should watch it. Good Luck
