awww I'm so sorry your Layla has LP (Luxating Patella). My Layla has it too- but not as bad and doesn't need surgery. If you go search Luxating Patella you will see that MANY yorkies on here have had it (3 actually within the last week- amandawash's Ranger, stedmansmommy's Tatum and Hot Rod's Hot Rod). If it were me, I'd do the surgery over having her on meds all her life. LP won't get better and when she is in that much pain she should probably have the surgery. She probably is sore from his moving it around.
