I'm so sorry about the loss of your toy poodle!!!
As far as spoiling a yorkie and confusing them with who's the Alpha.....As long as you set boundries and limitations for your yorkie...She should recognize that YOU are the Alpha.
I spoil my babies ROTTEN!!! Holding them ALL the time....treats for praise..etc...But I also let them know that what mommy says...goes! And takin your baby on walks....making sure she walks next to you...and doesn't lead you will also teach her that YOU are the Alpha!!!
Congrats on your new girl.....and don't worry about spoiling her..I don't believe you can spoil a human baby by holding and loving on them as much as you want...so I also think you can treat the yorkie baby the same way!!
