Karma always comes around. A friend of mine was working for an organization that also had team leaders and also 2nd level team leaders. My friends was a 2nd team leader. She had a terrific relationship with her group-----bringing treats for holidays, decorating their area and doing fun things. Her team leader hated her, so when lay-offs came she was the very first to go despite her excellent record. Months later she found another job where they offered her a management level job. Just after they had hired her, the hiring department came to her and asked about a certain applicant...yes, it was her former boss who had eventually also been laid off. My friend was honest about the person's nasty attitude towards all those under her. She actually didn't get the job. So you see, there is 'come-up.' Get your 4 hr.s done and disappear, never to see the nasty person again. Chin-up, my dear. There's light at the end of the tunnel. ~Joanne~
