On Saturday mornings we like to take Puddin' and go to a small mall that has a "slow foods market." The mall has taken a couple of large, empty shops and allowed caterers and farmers and such to set up tables along the walls, and they have set up trestle tables where you can sit eat your purchases. Everything from quiches to dried fruits to hand made candies, Belgian waffles, even a butchery that specializes in sausages is there.
Today we left Puddin' at home because we were taking our visiting relatives to the market and from there, we had to take them to the airport. When I brought my nephew to the Belgian waffle booth, the lady looked at my shoulder (for the puppy purse) then said "Where's Puddin'?"
I explained about the visiting family and she nodded, then said "You must bring her with you next time!"
Twenty minutes later, out in the mall walkways, a man stopped me and inquired after Puddin' and while I was talking with him, another woman came up to us and asked the same question!
I was SO surprised! I told my husband and our nephew (a cheeky 15 year old) just shrugged and said, "Well, she's a lot cuter than most of the babies I'm seeing around here!"
So, next Saturday it is the new pink party dress for her and her fans...I'd better get to the sewing machine and finish up those matching panties!
