My old vet will tell you 8-10 weeks is the best time for a pup to go to it's never family so they can start bonding with it. I'm not going to say whos right and whos wrong, because I think everyone has a good point, but, I can honestly say the ones I have gotten younger, have been much easier for me to work with on training. Maybe the question should be who got their yorkies at 12 weeks or later and has had problems still with biting, housebreaking, etc. Everyone needs to take a "chill" pill. We didnt get our little guy from a good breeder because I admit I was really dumb and didnt do my research. Honestly didnt know alot about any of that until I found YT (thank you all will do better next time) but we also got ours at 9 weeks. We have no problem with biting, he was paper trained in 2 weeks and housebroken in a month. No accidents at all. And he is the most lovable puppy we have ever owned. Just my 2 cents to lol. I can though see the merits in not getting until older also.
