The problem with nail cutting that most Yorkies hate is, we are holding their foot in a firm grip and they are not able to get away. The actual snipping of the nail does not bother them unless it is too short and it is over so fast. I have tried a file and also a dremel. It took longer and they were having fits..a 60 second nail clipping turned into 15 mins of screaming and twisting. Perhaps other groomers have better luck, I did not..some hated nails done no matter how I did it...and with Charlotte, the chicken of all chickens, I have thought about biting them off myself..she is awful..been through "child birth" and screams if she sees the nail clippers.
