I'm not a breeder but a person who has been eyeing the Biewer breed for some time. I don't think $500 for a neutered 10-month old Biewer is unreasonable. First, I would expect nothing less than for him to be neutered in a rescue situation. Otherwise you'd have back yard breeders adopting him for the sole purpose of breeding him. And it's not unusual for a rescue to ask $350 for a yorkie, so $500 for a Biewer (which is rarely seen as a rescue dog), sounds reasonable to me. If I didn't have 3 dogs, one being 15 and in his final years, I would have scooped this guy up myself. As it stands, we're allowing Tahoe (my 15 year old yorkie) to peacefully live out his final days stress-free before bringing another yorkie into our household.
