My little Martini
is 6 mos. old now and is teething. She has not only the baby teeth but the permanent teeth coming in right beside them. When I look in her mouth and feel to see if the baby teeth are loose, it doesn't feel like they are. Her back molars are also coming in and the gums are so swollen. I feel so badly for her. It has got to hurt! I give her chewies and I have one I put in the fridge so it is cold for her to chew. I called the vet yesterday and he said it is not uncommon for this to happen to these little ones. He wants to take a look. He possibly may have to extract the baby ones to make room for the permanent ones. Also, he asked if she was spayed yet and she is not. He said he could do them both at the same time. Talk about insult to injury...
Anybody else out there with the same experience?
