Nope! They don't splinter.
BUT, they do tend to end up all over the house.
They are small and light enough for my furry butts to carry them off on their own. So, I tend to find them every where...And, I do mean
EVERY where!
Under the couch, burried in their beds, I even found one in one of my shoes... Little stinkers!
