It concerns me more that your baby has not grown since it was 4 mos old. I got mine at 5 1/2 mos. she was 1 1/2 lbs and has put on 8 oz or maybe a little more since I got her(she stays between 2 and 2 1/2 lbs). Have you had a full blood panel done on your pup? Would love to see pictures of your baby |
Yes, we did a full body checkup and blood test for her. Am now at work, will post pictures of her when I get home
The blood test was ok, no heart murmur. However, she had kennel cough when she was a puppy, and from the xray, her lungs were scarred but clear and her heart size is a tad too big for her -which translates that she MAY have heart problem and needs to be on lifetime medication in future.
She cannot exercise too much or run too much as it would take a toll on her heart. Yea, she is not really a healthy healthy yorkie but I still want to keep her even though I knew her situation.
The vet did mention that with proper diet, she can still do without heart medication for now. That is why we were worried for her to go through with the operation....*sigh* think I have to go back to the vet whom our breeder friend have recommended.
