have you talked to the breeder and asked why the puppy cant stay until its legally allowed to leave???
i think 7-8 weeks is ok (everyone has their own opinion) i let my yorkies go at 8 weeks. i did keep my last litter till 12 weeks for christmas oh boy! i had 7!! i love my babies but i was so glad to see them go to the new and great homes!!..lol
