That leg is the one that she would actually hold completely up off the ground when running.
I kept reminding myself over and over again to get Tatum's x-rays and then once I went there to pick her up and I saw her, I totally forgot just because I was so focused on her I guess. I will try to remember when we go back on Monday to get them. Her x-rays looked SO terrible Her little patella's (especially on that left knee) were TOTALLY out of socket and out of place. It broke my heart. But then of course the after surgery x-rays looked great I just HOPE that those pins are still in place and aren't broken...I will just DIE if they are. Being that she is using both legs now though and without a limp, hopefully everything is as it should be
I too hope that little Ranger doesn't stop eating...I'm sure that he will do just fine! I'm 99% sure that Tatum would never refuse boiled chicken, lol (she hasn't yet)...but she just absolutely will not TOUCH her kibble. In fact, ya know what, I just may have hubby go and pick her up a bag of NV Raw on his way home from work today. She loves raw and I did used to have her on it, but took her off of it completely when I started her on NB. If she would eat the raw though, which she PROBABLY will (I just can't see her refusing that but I guess you never know with the Tator Bug...lol) then that will make me feel alot better. At least it's a great food and has everything in it that she needs. |
Sorry that wasn't very clear. Ranger hardly EVER limped. After 30-40 minutes of play or a fast walk, he would hold up the left leg for maybe two steps, so quick if you blinked you would miss it. DH never even saw it because by the time I said "look!" he was back to running on it. However, after I scheduled the surgery I never once saw him pack his left leg. But over the weekend I saw him pick up his right leg here and there, but again, only for one or two steps. I *knew* he needed both done, even though you couldn't really manually move the right patella. When I put him on the floor at the surgeon's office he stood with it kind of up, and took two steps that looked normal to me, but the dr. saw the lameness.
Remember Tate's xrays the next time you go there, I want to see what the different grades look like on rads.
And yes, I hope to that Ranger keeps eating!! Let me know how she does on the raw, I hope she eats it!!
