Our cat who is about 8 yr old has a HIGH tolerance for little dogs (Bear weighs a little over 20lbs). He & our late Sissy would chase around once or twice a year maybe. But with Parker & Price it's almost a daily ritual. When we first got them though, Bear was a bit cautious. When he saw that they wouldn't/couldn't hurt him, he was at ease with them. My neighbors laugh when we are all in the yard as the cat will chase the dogs & then the dogs will start chasing him

. When the puppies started understanding that there was another world outside their play yard they discovered "the cat". He is very patient with them & lets them sniff him and then he jumps onto the coffee table where he is free from little furballs as they have just learned who to get onto the couches

They are our cat alarm....in that when they are put to bed as we turn in, if the cat comes through the dog door, 3 little yappers go off. They hush pretty quickly when they see that it's their cat. I guess I never gave much of a thought of how they would all get along. My kids say it's because I got Bear when I lived in Key West, so he is very LAID BACK.
