Before you decide not to proceed w/ anything - interview a few vets and see if there is someone who is skilled w/ tinies. I waited to get Marcel neutered until he was 10mths - and he was under 3lbs at the time - he did great for the surgery and snapped right back, but I was so scared. I don't know how to help you find a good vet where you are, but I do know other 2-pound babies have had successful surgeries. Scary though, for sure.
