Mostly, a really caring, loving helpful mentor will do it for the love of the breed. There might be occasional expenses for travel or such, but I, frankly do not know how I could put a dollar value to mentoring. I would have been lost were it not for my mentor who abandoned me just to move to FL with her family..LOL
