Well, I have never had such a young puppy before but I would be like you and want to make sure she was safe. You have your work cut out for you in the very near future with your new baby. You have found an excellent resource with YT so just hang on for the ride. I think I would get a sling carrier so that you can keep her close and warm. They are great because they keep your hands free and you can keep her close by and also warm.
