Thanks for the replies. I didn't take him into the vet but he seems to be doing just fine. His pad wasn't really cut, more torn. It was as if a layer of skin on the pad was peeled off, underneith it was red and irrated and I kept it clean and used an antispetic spray. He's doing really well and it doesn't seem to affect him much, he is still running around the house and playing like before it happened.
I am keeping an eye on it and keeping it clean (I wash it everytime he goes outside for potty), the top layer is still hanging on his paw, should I remove it? It seems to help protect the pad for the most part.
