Thanks everyone for your opinions! It's good to know that there are a lot of other kid friendly Yorkies out there. Oscar is large (11 lbs), which makes him a little tougher.
Unfortunately, my husband is refusing to get another small dog of any breed (I think he gets a lot of grief from friends about Oscar, especially since Oscar is sooooooo attached to him.) He wants to rescue a larger breed, which is a huge problem because Oscar gets scared around bigger dogs... oh well, I guess we're going to be a one dog family!
