Well this is a LONG rant.. a little background.. last august my youngest son rescued a little Jack Rusell Girl from a Rescue group in PA, where I keep my doll store.. well to make a long story short, we were told she was spayed, since I have an intact AKC yorkie male at home.. three months later SURPRISED, she is in HEAT, For the whole story check out my BLOG...
I took her to the vet but he could not tell for sure if she was or not since she was supposed to be fixed, he thought it was a false pregnancy.. well last january 8 after xrays and a sonogram, we had 4 little puppies, they are the cutest things ever, My family went nuts and everyone wanted one.. well I gave them to my closest kins.. well this morning the last one was supposed to go home to my cousin, he has a 12 year old girl that is very close to my 22 year old daughter and she wanted one in the worse way, so we agreed that she could get the last boy. This morning her mom called me to check at what time she could come over to pick the baby and she blabber something that I ALMOST did not get but I DID.. they had PURCHASE A NEW PUPPY this past weekend at the MALL.. WHAT???? YOU DID WHAT????
and she wanted to know if she could bringh HER to meet my boys...
, I was speechles, I put myself together and in the best of my POLITE voice I told her that NO, she could not bring her just bought at the store puppy to my home since I am keeping ONE of the babies for ME and that NO she was no LONGER welcome to my other puppy either..
since they already have one, she told me that she thinks it would be easier to reaise the two puppies together and go thru potty training once instead of doing it twice, since SHE always wanted two a boy and a girl, but since I had already given away my only girl and she was getting a boy, they decided to get a little yorkie this past weekend.
Well.. I stuck to my guns and told her NO, my boy is not going to you now, we got into a bit of an argument and I hung up the phone on her.. she proceded to call my mom and get my mom involved in the dispute.. my mom is trying to keep the peace this holy week,,,, My mom thinks I am being WAY over protective of my pups and that I should let them have the puppy since I gave my word..
I VERY politely told my mom that I RAther keep the puppy myself but I am not letting him go, they never had a puppy before and all over sudden they want to have 2!! plus they live in an APARTMENT, no yard, they both work, it will be up to the 12 yd. to walk the puppies and clean and feed them she goes to school,..
Please do you guys think I am being SELFISH?, OVERPROTECTIVE? or doing something WRONG? i called my hubby and he told me to keep the puppy or find him another home.. but I don't want to hurt my mom's feelings over this either.. I already cancelled easter dinner over my aunt over this .. I am so thorn...
I will let it rest today and call my mom again tomorrow.. hopefully she can see it my way.. that is my only concern and the well being of my puppy..
I don't even ask what puppy store she got the yorkie from, I hope she did not get him from the local petpurry since is being a parvo outbreak there..
oh WELL, let me go back to make dolls for the store, I am so upset..
