I don't know how old he is, but if possible try not to feed him before he travels.
Two of mine are very prone to car sickness. If I don't feed them in the morning before we set off they can travel ok. They can then seem to eat little snacks when we stop & they have a walk & a drink. But if I feed them, even a few hours, before we set off they throw up in the first mile!
