I do use a brush and a comb. But I was always told to brush first, then use the comb to get the remaining tangles that the brush doesn't get. This has seemd to work. As for the oily look, I had the same with Bio Groom Mink Oil. I just trid the Minksheen shampoo and my poor Sophie is scratching up a blue streak. It seems for her the best shampoo/conditioner I've used so far is Bio Groom Oatmeal anti-itch shampoo and follow with their Silky Conditioner. I also like their Protein and Lanolin shampoo. That really "calms" down her hair. Both seem to reduce the daily tanlges. But Minksheen didn't do that for me. She's a tangled mess this week and is scratching like crazy....
