It certainly caused weigh gain for her and pretty quickly, too. (In fact, she was considered doggy obese.) She gained two lbs.  The amount of prednisone slowly went up, then slowly went down. Now, she has lost all of the weight, thank heavens.

Little dogs(I just heard this a few weeks ago on the radio) weight is like 1 lb is equal to 20 lbs on a person. So, yes, 2 lbs would be like 40 pounds. This is why she was considered obese. My yorkie is obese too, she needs to lose like 7 pounds, which would be equivalent to 140 on a person
