I would suggest practicing with her at the door until you are really comfortable that she's not going to slip out. Every time she breaks her Stay, close the door and start again.
If that's not working, I would leash her before you open the door, because it sounds pretty dangerous for her to be running down the street! |
My Shih Tzu is a barker and major 'runner-out-of-the-house'er. Never thought about it as MY doing until I read your post!!
