YEs, chi is the best for any hair. If wanting a less expensive iron, get a ceramic plated one and use it on the low setting...My Chi went down and the last one I got is a Sally's brand" Plugged In", it was $29.99 I believe. Use a good moisterising shampoo and conditioner and completely dry the hair, pick up the hair in 2 inch sections, comb the piece first and run the iron through the peice starting about 1/2 inch from the skin, if it leaves a beginning seam at the start point, you may have not pulled it through quick enough, I have been ironing mine for 4 years and the older two have very healthy coats..we use it about every 10 days only at shampoo time. It will last pretty much until next shampoo
