The objective is to prevent soiling. If my pup, who rides in the backseat of my car, secured to the seatbelt by a special harness, decides she can't wait until we get home to poop, I certainly don't want to be cleaning it off my leather upholstery. I also don't want to be cleaning it off my duvet, my sofa, or the wool Persian carpet...I'd much rather be throwing away a soiled disposable liner and cleaning up puppy's much more easily washable butt.

In the five weeks we have been using these, we have had three poo accidents...cleaning HER up was a lot easier than cleaning up the oriental rug!
