Hi Carol..oh my your poor hand and Buddy must has thrown you for a loop. I read your post and did you pull up your afghan before the bite? If so do you think it was the way you pulled it up and it thought it was something else? There had to be a reason besides not getting your treat that made Buddy lunge at your hand.
