I bought a Wahl clipper for men with the head attachments at least 15 years old and has lasted through four dogs....two current. Their hair is fine and if you keep the clipper oiled and clean, it will give you years of cuts. Also, the corded one is adviseable, because the cordless loses the charge too quickly. You can find very competitive pricing on Amazon. I just bought my son a new Wahl, just like my older version, and didn't pay over $50. Beauty supply stores have them, but you may pay more. Actual dog grooming clippers are very expensive, because you have to take into account the amount of animals these groomers do daily...they are industrial strength... I hope this helps.... Lisa, Lilly and Jesse, the stud with the new do...
