We watch a show on the Discovery Channel called A Haunting and their very first episode featured this story. Most of the stories on this program are hard to believe actually happened but my boy's like watching them and look at it more as a "Goosbump" show than a real deal
There is a book by Ray Garton called "in a Dark Place: A True Haunting"
It's interesting to note that Garton has stated this about the book he wrote.
"Elements of Carmen Snedeker's story clashed with elements of Al Snedeker's story, and it seemed everyone was having a problem keeping their stories straight. Frankly, I didn't notice until I had nearly finished all my interviews and began going over my notes, then I started having trouble matching up the details."
