You can e-mail Wellness and request a sample. Be prepared for your puppy to possibly not be a great eater when you first bring her home. I would request a small baggie of whatever food the breeder has been using, and feed her strictly that for the first week. She'll be stressed enough. Then, after a week or so, start gradually introducing her to whatever you decide to feed.
The important thing is to not run out to the store and purchase a new food if your puppy isn't interested in what you have chosen, or everytime she turns her nose up. If you constantly switch things up, you can create huge problems down the road with a super picky puppy, which is NO FUN!!
We used a tiny bit of canned (Wellness) added to Ranger's puppy food when we first picked him up, which did the trick. I also like adding cottage cheese or yogurt to entice them to eat. |
