But he didn't bite you because you weren't sharing really

This sounds like a form of food possession ... and it's a progressive behavior pattern in dogs so be careful

Make sure that your pup is good with you touching his food taking his bowl away and allowing you to give and take away bones from him

If not you need to get him trained and fast
Biting is never something to be brushed aside
