My Chloe had the surgery in October of this year. She had a rough time recovering also,she cried alittle for the first week or so. She layed around alot and wasnt herself for the longest time.She also didnt use her leg for about 2 months,It may have been alittle longer.She is finally back to her normal self,crazy and full of energy.I cant remember what she was on I think it was Rymidel? Im not exactly sure about that,you can always call your vet and ask questions.I was worried out of my mind to,give it a few weeks and you'll notice improvement.When I knew she felt better I started putting her in my bath tub,with a harness on, and held her up alittle so she could swim and use that leg,it really helped her alot.Good luck with your baby,Im sorry to hear she is in so much pain.
